Submission of this form does not automatically authorise the release of footage. All requests are subject to verification and authorisation by the CCTV system owner / data controller.
This form is for footage held on a CCTV system that Fortify Security Systems installed, manages or maintains in Gibraltar — whether you are the business that owns it, a police officer investigating an incident, an insurer, or someone caught up in something that happened on the premises.
If the cameras belong to a business we do not work with, they — not us — hold the footage, and the request needs to go to them directly.
Most systems overwrite footage after a set period — often 14 to 31 days. If the incident is recent, send the request now rather than waiting for a claim or a crime number.
Footage may be withheld, trimmed or obscured where releasing it would reveal information about people unconnected with your incident.
Where Fortify maintains a system owned by someone else, they are the data controller. We pass the request to them and act on their instruction.
Officers and solicitors are welcome to use this form. Quote the crime or matter reference so the request can be matched to the right disclosure.
It takes a few minutes. The more precisely you can describe the time and place, the more likely we are to find the right footage before it is overwritten.
